Officers responding to the shooting report found evidence of gunfire near the 100 block of S 12th Street just after 5:55 p.m. Friday, Inspector John Piperato said in a release.

Two unoccupied vehicles appeared to have been shot at, though no injuries were reported, Piperato said.

Four men were seen in the area on foot around the time of the incident, authorities said.

Two of the men were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and dark pants, another was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, and the last had a white or light-colored hooded sweatshirt with dark pants, Piperato said.

The men left the area in a dark-colored sedan — possibly a Ford — heading east in the 1100 block of Pine Street, police said.
